Bespoke, funky and quirky fabrics
Come join the fun and see Mount Vic and Me’s current vibrant range at Spoonflower (USA).
You can buy any of my designs in a variety of different fabrics, wallpaper and gift wrap. Once you are in my Spoonflower shop, click bottom left of the page you will see ‘All designs’, ‘Not for sale’ etc. This is where you can keep tabs on upcoming designs as I release new and upcoming designs and ranges.
I love working one-on-one doing custom design work too and can even resize existing patterns. If you want a particular colourway, let’s talk! And if you are looking for exclusivity on a particular design, I offer a separate rate and licensing agreements for this.
I work with some terrific upholsterers and interior stylists in New South Wales and ACT. If you want to create something unique for your home or work space, contact me for more information.
Just send me an email so we can discuss your project.
Sustainability in the textiles industry
In a wasteful society, you can be assured that my textiles are manufactured sustainably. Below are some stats via Spoonflower’s website.
From the use of toxic inks and wasteful practices for materials and water, to a race to utilize the cheapest materials such as vinyl—no matter the environmental impact…
Spoonflower has made the commitment:
- Reducing the use of materials, energy and water by choosing a pigment printing process instead of reactive dye
- Minimizing fabric waste by only printing what is needed, plus recycling and transforming any fabric waste
- Ethically sourcing materials from a small group of trusted vendors
Whereas traditional textile printing uses around 100 litres of water to produce 5 yards of conventional fabric, Spoonflower use just a thimble to produce that same length. Yes, a thimble.
Spoonflower’s pigment printing process consumes very little water to begin with, making it an eco-friendly solution in the textile printing industry. Our pigment inks meet the Oeko-Tex 100 requirements to be free of restricted chemicals and are mixed from 4-8 basic colors as your fabric is printed, so unlike screen printing, there’s no mixing of colors in advance.
To ensure products are safe, we select the best-in-class fabrics, inks and dyes. All of our wallcoverings are printed with water-based latex inks that carry the GREENGUARD Gold certification. We avoid fabrics with any flame-retardant applications, and our fabrics pass tests ruling out harmful chemicals such as formaldehyde and lead.
