Beautiful Hartley sits at the base of the Blue Mountains as you travel west towards Lithgow. It is very pretty historic farmland with roads leading off to Jenolan Caves and Oberon and looks north at the mountains too towards Clarence. The map tea towel also includes the Vale of Clwydd, Bowenfels, Lake Lyall and other lovely spots.
Since the bushfires hit us here in Mount Victoria in late 2019, I have been developing map tea towels for different regions to reinvigorate tourism. Then Coronavirus hit and we were busy shooing the tourists away. It’s all a little frustrating but it’s inspired me to create maps for different much-loved regions to celebrate our home towns, remember places we cherish and remind ourselves how beautiful Australia truly is.
