Description
When we travel from Mount Victoria in the Blue Mountains to Canberra we always go the ‘back’ way. This scenic route is one of the prettiest around. Beautiful countryside, pretty villages and you get to see the Big Trout at Oberon then the Big Merino all the way down at Goulburn! Great places to visit include Crookwell and Taralga, Wombeyan Caves and mushrooming in the State Forests. It’s a real delight and this region needs people to visit.
Since the bushfires hit us here in Mount Victoria in late 2019, I have been developing map tea towels for different regions to reinvigorate tourism. Then Coronavirus hit and we were busy shooing the tourists away. It’s all a little frustrating but it’s inspired me to create maps for different much-loved regions to celebrate our home towns, remember places we cherish and remind ourselves how beautiful Australia truly is.
