Beautiful mix of fabrics and hand stitching
This has been so fun to upcycle. I've added some beautiful poly velvet panels on the back featuring a lovely Indian scene in autumnal tones. Layered up fabrics all over and used some of the existing distressed panels. I then added some hand-stitching sashiko style golden threads to give it just that little bit more. I've stitched a panel 'Mango Lassie' on the bottom at the back.
I've cut the bottom of the jacket too. This will shred more/have more threads when washed and worn. It's a lot of fun.
The denim is lovely. It's rigid enough but soft and pliable. Very comfortable (it fits me).
