Recently published in England, this book explains and comments on the methodological and philosophical import of the famous Hite Reports on male and female sexuality and love and includes extensive excerpts from the reports themselves. The essays demonstrate the continuing impact of Hite's work over two decades, reveal her views on women as agents of social change, and take readers to the cutting edge of debates on sexual politics. The American edition includes additional essays by Hite and other scholars.
Review:
'This book should be a required reading for both women and men alike. It is incredably eye opening and brought so many of my subconcious feelings about sex into a very clear, tangible form. I read this with a best friend, and both of us passed it on to our friends, brothers, sisters, and basically every one who would read it - with only great outcomes. It is a treasure that answers so many questions, and raises so many points about the taboos and flaws of our society's view of sex and the sexual person. It touches on how to please one's self, explains many feelings that we have all had at one point or another, but didn't know how to address, and raises many other questions that will undoubtably lead you to discover or rediscover your own sexuality and come to terms with yourself, as a more confident and knowledgable lover - both of yourself and others. Must read!' - Amazon review
