Mount Victoria – gateway to the west

I’ve just finished an article for new magazine Blue Mountains Best Eats all about the amazing village of Mount Victoria which will be published in June. I was thrilled to be asked to write about it and could have gone on and on about our village (as I do) but had to contain it to 300 words. With the recent discovery that the Indian Pacific passengers weren’t going to venture into our village (and instead go directly via bus to the usual haunts of the Blue Mountains) it has frustrated many businesses and community here. But on reflection we want people to stop and look around in our village because they are interested in our village. 

We have very fine bush walks here, amazing lookouts including Mount Piddington, Mount York, Sunset Rock and more. You might even see the Highliners doing their daredevil antics along the cliff edges. We have amazing eats, sleeps, cinema and more.
