In our world of Mount Victoria, a beautiful and historic village at the top of the Blue Mountains west of Sydney, EVERYTHING is named Victoria/Queen Victoria/Victoria and Albert.
 
I've been wanting to play with some ideas for Albert and Victoria and I do love some of their love letters. *Cough* - they were first cousins but shhhh, kissing cousins was 'ok' back then.
 
This has all kinds of sweet things: a parrot, monkey, butterflies, moths and bees, fruit and flowers.
 
Now, if you look close you'll see Prince Albert has a banana with a Prince Albert piercing in it. I don't know how true this phallacy is (LOL) but I have read that the monarch had this piercing down there. In the early 1800s, tight trousers were popular. There is discussion that a ring was inserted (a dressing ring), could be attached to a hook inside their pants to stop an unsightly bulge. So, this is a little nod to the bulge.
 
I use collage, found pics and textures every day in my designs. From maps to watercolour backgrounds, pencil rubbings and more. This one pushes moreso into collage and I quite love it. Bonkers!
