Start the magic of slow stitching.
It's not about perfection but the enjoyment and rhythm of stitching. It's a great way to de-stress and have some time to yourself.
Find a youtube channel to learn new stitches while you piece together your fun vintage fabrics.
Make your very own fabric bowl. Kantha stitch over bits of fabric to build up this beautiful bowl. Available in warm or cool tone upcycled and vintage fabrics.
In each pack you'll find a cotton quilted base to attach your fabrics to.
There is a variety of fabrics including:
- vintage doilie.
- variety of fabrics new and old (you might even see some of our fabrics)
- 1 embroidery thread to get you started
- Template guide is shown here giving you an idea how to shape the bowl and decide how many cuts you want.
To start your project you'll need:
- Cotton (white/cream/off white works best or true a darker colour for contrast) to hold down fabrics
- Colourful embroidery thread to sew over your fabrics
- Needle (embroidery needle if choosing thicker thread)
- Pins to hold your fabrics in place while you stitch
- Beads, buttons etc if you want to add more detail
- Scissors
On the packaging you will see a guide on how to cut out your bowl using a side plate and a smaller round object like a coffee mug, peanut butter jar, etc. Then you either cut 4/6/8 cuts around edge to decide the shape of your bowl. The more cuts/overlaps you do the narrower the shape of the bowl. You could also try other thicker fabric eg. old blanket or quilt if you wanted to make a bigger bowl. The sky is the limit!
I'm encouraging you to look in your cupboard, ask friends for their old fabrics and doilies and look around at clothing with holes. Can you upcycle and recycle into something new? Can you make beautiful gifts for loved ones out of old stuff?
Pack comes in A4 white craft envelope.

Drop shipped goodies
Being a small business in Australia, we use drop-shipping for some items including our popular t shirts. Housing every design in every size and colour is impossible. We rely on manufacturing partners to ship these goodies straight to you. If you want goodies via our studio shop, we house tea towels, Blue Mountains socks, greeting cards and our vintage goodies which we ship directly via the studio shop.
Flat-rate postage

USA and NZ flat-rate postage is $25. This price is based on items being shipped from Australia to your door. Should you pick drop-shipped goodies that can be shipped out of the US, please contact me to check postage costs and possibly refund some to you. We are working on a way to better how to manage variables via drop-shipping and shipped from our studio shop! x

Returns on made to order
To offer the widest range of designs and sizes, our t shirts and other drop-shipped goodies are made to order (meaning smaller impact in a fast fashion world). We therefore cannot exchange for change of mind or size on t shirts. Please read the size guide xcarefully on our t shirts
