Workshop : making bracelets 22.03.2026

Get ready to have some fun discovering the world of slow stitching. 

Come learn how to make funky, junky, jangly bracelets using recycled fabrics, some luscious velvet, junk jewellery and embroidery. Have a go at embroidering an eye to add to your bracelet. If you have anything at home you want to use, please bring along.

The magic of this style of stitching is that it's a slow, meditaitive process. It's not about perfection but the enjoyment of stitching. Learn how to piece your fabrics together to create colour and pattern. 

You won't be finished at the end of the workshop. We'll build base and layer up fabrics then start some kantha stitching. You'll then continue at your own pace. Use your bag to sew your fabric pieces while you work on your project.

We'll have additional upcycled and vintage embellishments available if you'd like to purchase more fabrics to add to your bowl or for your next project.

Studio shop will be closed that day to the public. It will only be open to workshop guests.

Skill level:
Suitable for teenagers and adults. Some dexterity required.

Parking and transport:
Park in the old General Store car park just two shops down from us. This is now a vacant shop with some parking available. Station St (turn right on at the lights heading west) has free all day parking. You can also park outside the Imperial Hotel (heading east towards Katoomba).

Refreshments:
I'll have tea and instant coffee available. We have lovely cafés on Station St if you'd like to grab a decent coffee and snack beforehand. It's a great place to head after the workshop for lunch. Our cafés are: Victoria & Albert Guesthouse, One Tree Hill and Mt Vic Beans and Bites.

Accessibility:
Unfortunately our building is old and has 2 wide steps to enter the french doors. Once inside, you can move around freely on our timber floors. Happy to help you get in the door if needed. Our shop is up a little hill from parking on the highway. Toilet is an old outhouse up the driveway of 113 Great Western Hwy. Alternatively you can use the park across the road (which has MLAK disability toilet too). Ideally, if you have a support person, this shouldn't be too bad. Apologies as I would love to make this easier!

Accommodation:
If you need accommodation tips, please contact us. It's always a great idea to spend a night or two away in the Blue Mountains. Relax and enjoy!

Due to this being a small business, no refund is available if you are not able to attend - though you can transfer your workshop to a friend.
