From 1st July 2019 Mount Vic and Me is moving up in the world. Yep, that’s right. Right next door. Our landlord was about to advertise it for lease and I decided now was the time to act. I have so much stuff pushed into my tiny shop at 113 Great Western Highway. Next door is at least 4 times the size, lends itself to other opportunities including workshop space (I can see other creatives hosting workshops too), a bigger display shop area, a fabulous stock area out back where I’ll actually be able to quickly see where I’m at stock-wise and more. I have Kym who works a couple of hours each week, so between her, Jenny and I jammed into the little shops at 113a, it was getting tight. Gaile (currently at 115a at Victorious Interiors) is looking forward to downsizing and spending time with her grandchildren in Sydney.

Jenny will be expanding too. She is taking over the whole of 113a and b Great Western Highway so you’ll find a bigger experience at Jennifer Marie’s Psychic Emporium. She’s really looking forward to the shift. We both feel sad that we aren’t sharing. We opened the shared space in October 2017 not knowing how it would all pan out. We took over that lease quick smart, grabbed whatever furniture we could find at home and just opened the doors. We’ve had such an amazing response and business is growing for both of us. This is definitely the next step.

I can hardly sleep with all that I want to do. I’m heading off 4:30am tomorrow for two days in Melbourne with the eldest kid to have a breather and connect with her. I’ll be looking at all the fabulous shops down there for inspiration and taking all that is happening in.

We love Mount Victoria and it’s uniqueness you don’t find anywhere else in the Mountains. It’s truly the sweetest village you’ll visit, an historic village untouched. We hope to make your visit to Mount Victoria even more interesting in a couple of weeks.
