How quickly the world changes…

After we’ve dealt with droughts, then horrific bushfires (one of which was across the road again from my house after the 2013 fires), floods leaving our railway system in the Mountains washed away in one section & burnt during the fire behind Mt Vic to Lithgow, I really didn’t think I could take anymore. Like so many businesses here in the Blue Mountains, we began strong campaigns to get people to come back to the Blue Mountains.

We watched the world deal with Coronavirus and next thing you know, it was here.

It’s jumped extremely fast in numbers and so my family decided to social distance. Since we are both self employed we felt this is something we can do to relieve the health system once Australians go down sick in large numbers with the virus.

Everything’s going pretty well. Kids are bored after one week of being at home but we are making it work. Many of our friends in schools across the globe are doing the same. We are doing lots of old fashioned letter writing as they learn how exciting it is to get a letter and parcel in the mail. Maths and english. Excursions out into the pine forest to pick mushrooms for yummy soups.

There is a coupon for 15% off til the end of March: 15off

As my studio shop is now closed to the public, I’m ramping up online sales. I can happily and safely deliver orders – even sending gifts to loved ones if you can’t get out and pick birthday presents or care packages to friends and families as they isolate too.

Thank you for supporting my small business. I have Kym helping me still – trying to keep her employed through all of this too, trying to keep the shop space going til this virus disappears and worrying about myself and friends in business during this time. I want everyone to make it through! x
